The TransParenting seminar emphasizes each parent's responsibility to provide a nurturing, non-threatening environment for their children, and is designed to help divorcing parents shift their attention to their children's needs. Parents learn ways to lessen the negative impact of divorce on their children by focusing on separation a s seen through their child's eyes. This seminar also emphasizes parents roles in the child's ability to adjust to changes in their lives. This seminar meets Supreme Court of Virginia requirements and is designed specifically for co-parenting and may not suffice for court orders related to Child Protective Services (CPS). Children are not allowed to attend the seminar, preregistration and prepayment are required. Cost to attend is $50 per person.
