The Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW) provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults who have mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a short-term, acute care hospital that offers inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient programs, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Programs for teens and adolescents are available for patients between the ages of 10 and 17 and include programs for patients who suffer from major psychiatric disorders, depression, substance abuse and behavioral problems. The Adolescent Treatment Program is highly structured to meet each patient's special needs. PIW has a free call line to help assess whether an individual needs psychiatric help.
