Virginia Keys is an academic and trade school where youth ages 14 through 22 may gain a high school diploma while learning a trade that will provide them with a living wage. Virginia Keys has a full-time academic day school, residential placement, or a weekly boarder program where the young adult returns home on the weekends. Virginia Keys offers three housing options: a group home, college dormitory style room, or individual tiny homes that are built by the students. Training is available in vocations such as carpentry, culinary arts, agriculture, welding, auto mechanics, roofing, use of heavy equipment, small engine repair, electrician, firefighter, and professional lawn care. Virginia Keys School is approved by Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) as a licensed Residential Program and Independent Living Program suited for youth who may be aging out of the foster care system.
