Which print feature does the author use to emphasize key details in the passage?

excerpt from What Is It That You Really Need?
Sometimes it seems as if we never get what we want. But sometimes when we do get what we want, we realize that it’s not what we really want. That’s because our wants don’t always match our needs. The solution to this problem is to try to understand and satisfy our real needs.

Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and human and animal behavior. A lot of psychological research has been done about human needs and how they should be satisfied. Studies have shown that humans have basic needs that must be consistently met. Studies have also shown that there is an order of importance in which these needs must be satisfied. An individual’s basic functional needs must be satisfied before he or she can go on and meet other more creative and self-fulfilling needs.

Abraham Harold Maslow (1908–1970) was an important psychologist who became famous for his studies regarding human needs and wants. He wrote two major works, Motivation and Personality and Toward a Psychology of Being. Maslow stressed that basic needs must first be satisfied before a person is able to be creative or function independently. He created his famous hierarchy of needs theory, which separates human needs into five layers. Each layer in the hierarchy must be satisfied before a person can proceed to the next layer. The five layers of human needs, according to Maslow, are as follows:

1. the physiological needs
2. the safety and security needs
3. the love and belonging needs
4. the esteem needs
5. self-actualization

The Physiological Needs
The physiological needs include the basic requirements for physical survival, such as oxygen, water, protein, salt, sugar, minerals, and vitamins. Other physiological needs include a proper body temperature and pH balance, physical activity,

Read Shakespeare's "Sonnet 130.”

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red, than her lips red:
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,5
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound:10
I grant I never saw a goddess go,—
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:
And yet by heaven, I think my love as rare,
As any she belied with false compare.

What is the best paraphrase of line 12?

She has trouble walking on the ground.
When she walks, she leaves footprints.
Like everyone, she walks on the ground.
She cannot be compared to other standards.

Answers

Answer:

Like everyone, she walks on the ground.

Explanation:

According to the excerpt from Shakespeare's "Sonnet 130", he praises his mistress and makes her seem larger than life with his descriptions and allusions. He seems enamoured to her and treats her almost like a rare piece of art.

In line 12 however, he talks about his mistress treading on the ground when she walks and the best paraphrase for that is like everyone, she walks on the ground.

Which statement best describes the relationship between moral censorship and power? A.The government is allowed to decide what is considered moral. B.The government is allowed to decide what people watch on television. C.The government is allowed to stop people from promoting hate speech. D.The government is allowed to promote moral censorship under the First Amendment

Answers

Answer:

C.The government is allowed to stop people from promoting hate speech.

Explanation:

The government cannot decide what is moral in a society and therefore is not authorized to impose moral censorship, much less to limit people's decision as to what they should watch on television. This is because, morality is decided by a culture and by a group of people who share it, therefore, it is not destined for the government.

However, the government can prevent hate speech by imposing censorship and reprisals on those who issue it.

The statement which best describes the relationship between moral censorship and power is:

C.The government is allowed to stop people from promoting hate speech.

According to the given question, we are asked to show the statement which shows the best relationship between moral censorship and power

As a result of this, we can see that morality has more to do with a culture and personal beliefs and cannot be imposed by the government because it is not one of the functions of the government.

However, the one thing which the government has the power and function to execute is the censorship of hate speech because it is a federal crime.

Therefore, the correct answer is option C

tell me what you understand about this story and if your right ill help

Explanation:

Answer: Depending on your point of view, there are different situational ironies: In brief:

Claim: The situational irony is that the place where American democracy is carried out  became the site of an undemocratic mob disrupting the process of counting votes, the instrument of democracy.

The US Congress and Senate are democratically elected representatives who make the laws on behalf of the people of their states. They were engaged in a legal process of counting the Electoral College votes for president and vice president when the mob of protestors invaded the Capitol and disrupted the process.

Reasoning: The United States Capitol Building is a symbol and the center of American democracy, but the actions of the protesters claiming to be patriots were undemocratic. They sought to use their force rather than democratic voting to get their way to keep President Trump in office.

Alternatively:

The situation is ironic because the protestors interrupted and prevented the very debate which may have given voice to their claimed grievances that some of the states had changed their voting procedures and some votes were not legitimate. (Despite there being no evidence of substantial fraud found by any stare officials or courts)

The Senate was in the process of debating the legitimacy of the electoral votes from Arizona then the proceedings were halted for security reasons to protect the senators when the protestors had invaded the Capitol.

The U.S. Capitol which is supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the nation was invaded by its own citizens who claimed that the election results were fraudulent, and prevented the senators and representatives who were planning to debate those claims from making their cases. Their breach of security led to the end of their own cause.
