The Industrial Revolution led to the use of steam power/mechanized, weapons/adavanced technology which aided imperialism.

Explanation:

Answer 2

British exploration in West Africa was a product of British imperialism. The historical circumstances that led to British exploration in West Africa can be traced to the abolishment of the slave trade in 1807 and the bid to get the African rulers to end slavery.

Thomas Fowell Buxton encouraged the signing of treaties with African rulers to end the slave trade.

This led to the Niger Expedition that lasted between 1841 and 1842 where some Britons went to West Africa to get the consent of the leaders in ending slavery.

During that expedition, they began setting up a center for missionary work.

Answers

Answer: D

Explanation: quiz lol

Evaporation remove salt from seawater, creating freshwater clouds is an effect of hydrosphere on human life. Thus, the correct answer is option D.

What is hydrosphere?

The hydrosphere is defined as the total mass of water found on, beneath, and above the surface of a planet, minor planet, or natural satellite. Although the Earth's hydrosphere has been around for approximately 4 billion years, it is still changing shape. This is caused by seafloor spreading and continental drift, which causes land and ocean to reorganise.

The hydrosphere is the sum of all water on Earth and the water cycle that circulates it. Humans get their water from the hydrosphere. Plants and animals can grow and produce food and resources for humans to use when precipitation causes runoff.

Therefore, evaporation remove salt from seawater, creating freshwater clouds.

Answers

Answer:

In January 1919, two months after the fighting in World War I ceased, a conference was convened at Versailles, the former country estate of the French monarchy outside Paris, to work out the terms of a peace treaty to officially end the conflict.

Though representatives of nearly 30 nations attended, the peace terms essentially were written by the leaders of the United Kingdom, France and the United States, who along with Italy, formed the “Big Four” that dominated the proceedings. The defeated countries—Germany and allies Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria—weren’t invited to participate.

What’s another species whose individuals could be easily identified using software like Wildbook or LemurFaceID? please hurry asap

Answers

Answer: lol this might be wrong sorry girl

Explanation:

Long-term research of known individuals is critical for understanding the demographic and evolutionary processes that influence natural populations. Current methods for individual identification of many animals include capture and tagging techniques and/or researcher knowledge of natural variation in individual phenotypes. These methods can be costly, time-consuming, and may be impractical for larger-scale, population-level studies. Accordingly, for many animal lineages, long-term research projects are often limited to only a few taxa. Lemurs, a mammalian lineage endemic to Madagascar, are no exception. Long-term data needed to address evolutionary questions are lacking for many species. This is, at least in part, due to difficulties collecting consistent data on known individuals over long periods of time. Here, we present a new method for individual identification of lemurs (LemurFaceID). LemurFaceID is a computer-assisted facial recognition system that can be used to identify individual lemurs based on photographs.

Results

LemurFaceID was developed using patch-wise Multiscale Local Binary Pattern features and modified facial image normalization techniques to reduce the effects of facial hair and variation in ambient lighting on identification. We trained and tested our system using images from wild red-bellied lemurs (Eulemur rubriventer) collected in Ranomafana National Park, Madagascar. Across 100 trials, with different partitions of training and test sets, we demonstrate that the LemurFaceID can achieve 98.7% ± 1.81% accuracy (using 2-query image fusion) in correctly identifying individual lemurs.

Conclusions

Our results suggest that human facial recognition techniques can be modified for identification of individual lemurs based on variation in facial patterns. LemurFaceID was able to identify individual lemurs based on photographs of wild individuals with a relatively high degree of accuracy. This technology would remove many limitations of traditional methods for individual identification. Once optimized, our system can facilitate long-term research of known individuals by providing a rapid, cost-effective, and accurate method for individual identification.

Please select the best answer from the choices provided
A

The answer is D.

Answers

The correct answer is D. The land has subsided about 30 feets in the last 100 years, and the rate is increasing.

Explanation

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico, a country in North America. This country during its pre-Hispanic stage was inhabited by civilizations such as the Mayas and the Aztecs who built great empires; the Aztecs built their main city Tenochtitlan on Lake Texcoco, later with the arrival of the Spanish this city was occupied by the colonizers who built houses and buildings in this area filling sectors of this immense lake. Over time, this lake seems to have been covered forming underground water sources such as aquifers, at the same time the city evolved and its infrastructure increased radically. Today this city is suffering from subsidence that has caused the buildings and the surface in general, to have sunk at least thirty feet during the last hundred years, because when Mexico City was built on Lake Texcoco, they were Aquifers and groundwater sources are used to supply water to the city, so they leave empty spaces in the sub-layers of the ground causing buildings and everything on the surface to sink. Additionally, during the last ten years, this pattern has increased making that the surface sink faster than before. According to the above, the correct answer is D. The land has subsided about 30 feet in the last 100 years, and the rate is increasing.
