important in making ice cream? What do you think would happen if the steps were
completed out of order?

Answers

We can think about making ice cream and answer the questions by focusing on the science behind the final result, as further explained below.

The order of the steps in making ice cream is important because, if changed, it could alter the final result.Science is important in making ice cream because it is everywhere in the process - in the chemical reactions between the ingredients, in the correct quantities of those ingredients, and the important refrigeration of the ice cream, for example. If the steps were completed out of order, we would end up with something that is not edible or, at least, not as delicious as the ice cream we know.

The science behind making ice cream

We often hear that science is everywhere in our lives, but we don't usually stop to think about it when it comes to something as simple as ice cream. But the fact is that there is science behind every single step in the process of making that delicious dessert. Let's take them into consideration:

When we mix the ingredients for ice cream, we have chemical reactions between them. The ingredients must be mixed in specific quantities, just like when we make chemical experiments in a lab.Ice cream is not ice cream if it is not frozen. The refrigeration process is only possible because the technology for it was developed using science.

THE MATCH

There never was a time when the world was without fire, but there was a time when men did not know how to kindle fire; and after they learned how to kindle one, it was a long, long time before they learned how to kindle one easily. In these days we can kindle a fire without any trouble, because we can easily get a match; but we must remember that the match is one of the most wonderful things in the world, and that it took men thousands of years to learn how to make one. Let us learn the history of this familiar little object, the match.

Fire was first given to man by nature itself. When a forest is set on fire by cinders from a neighboring volcano, or when a tree is set ablaze by a thunderbolt, we may say that nature strikes a match. In the early history of the world, nature had to kindle all the fires, for man by his own effort was unable to produce a spark. The first method, then, of getting fire for use was to light sticks of wood at a flame kindled by nature-by a volcano, perhaps, or by a stroke of lightning. These firebrands were carried to the home and used in kindling the fires there. The fire secured in this way was carefully guarded and was kept burning as long as possible. But the flame, however faithfully watched, would sometimes be extinguished. A sudden gust of wind or a sudden shower would put it out. Then a new firebrand would have to be secured, and this often meant a long journey and a deal of trouble.

In 1827, John Walker, a druggist in a small English town, tipped a splint with sulphur, chlorate of potash, and sulphid of antimony, and rubbed it on sandpaper, and it burst into flame. The druggist had discovered the first friction-chemical match, the kind we use to-day. It is called friction-chemical because it is made by mixing certain chemicals together and rubbing them. Although Walker's match did not require the bottle of acid, nevertheless it was not a good one. It could be lighted only by hard rubbing, and it sputtered and threw fire in all directions. In a few years, however, phosphorus was substituted on the tip for antimony, and the change worked wonders. The match could now be lighted with very little rubbing, and it was no longer necessary to have sandpaper upon which to rub it. It would ignite when rubbed on any dry surface, and there was no longer any sputtering. This was the phosphorus match, the match with which we are so familiar.

What issue made a match, or other device for starting a fire, necessary? (5 points)

Group of answer choices

Fire was hard to transport.

Nature was unreliable.

Burning material was hard to find.

Wind storms were frequent.

Answers

The issue that made a match, or other devices for starting a fire, necessary is this:

Nature was unreliable.

What issue made starting a fire necessary?

The issue that made starting a fire necessary is the unreliability of nature. In this text, we can see that a fire is one of the most precious things that we can have. From this text, we can see that the ancient people found it quite hard to start a fire during their time.

They had to put in a lot of effort to get it. often, this required waiting for a thunderbolt to get its light. Natural phenomena like the thunderbolt did not occur frequently, so they lacked the ability to start a fire when they wished to.

Due to the unreliability of nature, they had to seek other options for starting a fire like a match and other devices. So, option B is right.

welles crowther of 9/11

Answers

Welles Remy Crowther was an American stocks trader and volunteer fireman who was noted for saving up to 18 lives during the September 11 attacks in New York City, during which he died.

More on Remy Crowther:

Crowther contacted his mother from his workplace at 9:12 a.m. on September 11, 2001, nine minutes after United Airlines Flight 175 impacted the South Tower between floors 77 and 85 at 9:03 a.m. left the following message: "Hello, my name is Welles. I just wanted you to know I'm alright." Crowther went to the 78th floor sky atrium, where he found a number of survivors, including a critically wounded Ling Young, who worked on the 86th level of the New York Department of Tax and Finance.

When the plane hit the tower, Young was one of around 200 people waiting in a row of elevators to evacuate, and he was one of the few survivors.

Crowther led them to the only operational ladder while carrying a young woman on his back. The survivors pursued him 17 levels, where he abandoned the lady he was carrying before returning upstairs to assist the others.

He had a bandana wrapped around his nose and mouth when he returned to the 78th level to protect himself from the smoke and fog. He came upon another set of survivors, including AON Corp. employee Judy Wein, who worked on the 103rd level and had a fractured arm, damaged ribs, and a punctured lung.

According to Wein, Crowther assisted in putting out flames and providing first assistance. She then said to the group: "Anyone who is capable of resisting should do it right now. If you can assist others, please do so." He was also in charge of this organization.

As the tower residents made their way down to the street, Crowther returned up the stairs to assist the others. This was the final thing FDNY firefighters were spotted doing before the South Tower fell at 9:59 a.m.

Crowther's body, along with the bodies of numerous firemen and rescue workers, was discovered in March 2002 in an alleged command station in the South Tower atrium.
