Read this key passage from “Just Ask Him.” What is the best statement of the writer’s claim?
One gender role has been slow to change, however: the idea that a woman ought not to ask a man out on a date. This deeply ingrained belief, held by young and old, perpetuates the notion that initiating a relationship is the sole domain of the male. It also fosters the idea that a woman should be a passive participant in her own romantic life, and that she is an object to be “chosen.” It ignores the progress society has made in equalizing gender roles.
Answer: The idea that a woman can’t ask a man on a date is outdated and limiting.
Explanation: The writer claims that this outdated notion of gender roles in dating has no place in the modern world.

what is the reasoning for schools should not have school uniforms
Answer:
it stops kids from expressing themselvs thru clothing u can tell who a person is just by how they dress and its fun to dress up altho it is easy to just wear the uniform and go bc u dont have to worry about wearing the same thing blah blah bhla but still kids are kids and they need to express them selves in a way :)
Answer:
Clothes are like a way to express yourself and show your true colors. I’m not saying to dress all inappropriately but uniforms are like a strict way of not letting us express ourselves and putting a stop to what we want to wear. I have worn uniforms and honestly hated it. Basically what I’m saying is, is that we should be free to wear what we want without having to wear uniforms but still manage to be in dress code.

Answer:
The giant panda is closely related to bears, especially polar bears, while red pandas are more closely related to ferrets. But both species share a common trait—they eat only bamboo (despite being classified as carnivores) and both have developed a false thumb to help them do so.
Red pandas have dark patches under their eyes and long tails. Instead of black patches over the eyes like giant pandas have, many red pandas have white patches.

What group is targeted negatively but indirectly by Swift in "A Modest Proposal"?
A.
English lords
B.
Children of Ireland
C.
Impoverished families
D.
French government officials
A.) English lords
Explanation: They are primarily being negatively targeted.
The group that is targeted negatively but indirectly by Swift in "A Modest Proposal" is Children of Ireland. The correct option is B.
What is "A Modest Proposal"?Jonathan Swift wrote the satirical essay "A Modest Proposal" in 1729. The essay proposes a shocking solution to Ireland's poverty problem.
Swift's proposal is satirical and ironic in that he suggests that the poor Irish sell their children for food to the wealthy English.
This proposal is intended to highlight the English cruelty and indifference toward the Irish, but it indirectly targets Irish children by treating them as commodities to be traded and consumed.
While Swift criticizes the English lords and their oppressive policies toward the Irish, the proposal is not specifically directed at them.
Swift's primary audience is the English public, whom he believes is complicit in the suffering of the Irish and must be shocked into action.
Thus, the correct option is B.

A cousin of yours in SS2 discovered to be pregnant and her father threatened to send her out of the house. Write a letter to pacify the father and suggest what u think can be done to salvage the situation
Answer:
Letter to an uncle about the discovery of her daughter's pregnancy and to pacify him from doing anything bad to the daughter.
Explanation:
Avenue Street
New York City
10 May 2017
My dear uncle,
I know you will understand immediately why I am writing to you. But it is my request that you do not stop reading until the end.
I know it's a huge shock to learn about my cousin's pregnancy, especially that she's still in school and far too young to be starting this phase of motherhood. But I also want to point out some things that I feel you need to know about.
I have heard that you threatened to send her out of the house, which, I think, is a bad act that will affect and destroy our family. I know it is humiliating and shocking, but she is still your daughter and nothing will ever change that. Whether you disown her, kick her out of the house or even completely cut her off from the family, she is still the daughter of your blood and the unborn child will also be one too.
Moreover, acting harshly to her will only be detrimental to both baby and mother. In times like this, she needs more support rather than admonishment, especially from her own family. She needs the support, both emotionally and physically from you, her parents, and guidance for the future.
You are in shock and angry. Just imagine how shattered she will befeeling inside, knowing her family is angry and she has no one to turn to. So, rather than be angry at her, if you accept her and give her support, she will find it comforting and safe from others and their judgmental attitudes, which is sure to come. And when that comes, she will find comfort in the very place she has known and learned about love and loyalty.
Also, by accepting the baby and lovingly giving peace and security to them, you are helping raise another human being just as God wants us to do. And through your act, your daughter will learn how to be a good parent to her own daughter. This is a valuable lesson that she can learn firsthand from you directly. And that will become a building block for her own growth and maturity, in learning to become the perfect mother for her child.
Uncle, please try to understand and feel for her. She only wants and requires love and support from the family. She is already in a state of shock and distress and she needs no other stress, especially from the ones she expects to feel safe with.
So, it is my request that you reconsider my cousin's situation and act for the good of us all. I hope to visit you soon and I also hope to get good news soon. Take good care of each other.
Love,
Raina.
