When her husband died in 1887, Walker became a single parent of two-year-old daughter Lelia (later known as A’Lelia). Seeking a way out of poverty, in 1889, Walker moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where her four brothers were barbers. There, she worked as a laundress and cook.

Conflicts (problems) faced: For several years, Walker had been experiencing problems with high blood pressure and hair loss. Her doctors advised her to take it easy, but Walker could not or would not slow down her hectic pace. Long years of traveling and hard work finally took their toll.

Accomplice or change: Madam C. J. Walker was “the first Black woman millionaire in America” and made her fortune thanks to her homemade line of hair care products for Black women.

What brought an end to the dominance of the Silk Road?

Answers

Answer:

An excess of sea routes

Explanation:

The Silk route was dominated by the Muslims in the Middle East, which often led in the clash and unrest between the two religion (Christians and Muslims). The increasing rates of the goods brought from Asia through land route (Silk route) became expensive. To solve this problem a new route was to be found. Therefore, the age of exploration began in Europe.  Vasco da Gama found his way to India and later for the Far East in the 15th century dealt a  blow to the Silk Route.

The speed of the sea transportation, the possibility to carry more goods, relative cheapness of transportation resulted in the decline of the Silk Road in the end of the 15th century. ... During the civil war in China the destroyed Silk Road once again played its big role in the history of China.

1, Do you believe deep fake videos or cheap fake videos can be a major security threat to our country?

2.Should we more involved in foreign policy or should America keep to itself?

Answers

Answer:

If it can deal with dangers like a fake shooting or fake harassment just to get attention or cause a bigger uproar is a security threat because it can endanger peoples lives and also cops to.

Explanation:

America should keep to itself cause if you live in America the policy will be only for America not anywhere else.

When deep fakes are used for memes and etc that’s ok but when it starts being rude to people that’s not ok. I don’t think it’s a major threat because people will know if someone did not say that but it is an issue

Yes we should involve more in foreign policy as long as they are being reasonable. This can help boost our country.

2. Compare Nat Turner’s Rebellion to the Underground Railroad. How were these two forms of resistance different? Which type of resistance do you think is more effective?

Answers

Nat Turner's Rebellion was different because it included the killing of a bunch of slave owners, and it resulted in his murder. While Harriet Tubman never really failed in the Underground Railroad, neither did she die by the hands of a slave owner. These two things are highly different because Nat went on a killing spree to get a sort of revenge on the slave owners, while freeing most slaves he encountered.Harriet,on the other hand, didn't resort to violence to stay more in the shadows, while freeing slaves she encountered, mainly on a mission to find her family.I would chose revelry in the dark rather than revelry that leads to my death.

Answer:

The benefits were that the dam could produce electricity, irrigation for farmland, and jobs for workers during the Great Depression. The draw backs were that 81 people lost their falls mainly due to falling but also other deaths.

To construct the dam, they needed to clear thousands of acres of land including forests and people's home's which costed tens of million dollars. This also had a big affect on the Indians because they can't practice their ritual with salmon.

Fish including steel head, salmon, and more couldn't get up the Columbia River like they usually did before the construction of the dam. The workers had long shift hours and a short thirty-minute break lunch. Workers were so fatigued that if you took a rest you would have been replaced. In my opinion the dam was not "America's pride" and shouldn't be because of all the torture.
